Third
Saturday in September, annually:
Yellow River Game Farm/Piddle Creek Kennels hosts a yearly Canine Eye
Registry Foundation (CERF) Eye Clinic at the farm on the third Saturday of
September each year, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dr. Stephan Bistner, Veterinary
Ophthalmologist, retired from the University of Minnesota’s School of
Veterinary Medicine, does the CERF eye exams and also offers micro-chipping
at that time. We may include a canine shot clinic in the future. Visit the
CERF by clicking here.Visit the CERF

July, annually:
Annual Barron to Spooner Trail Ride, starting at the Barron Sales Barn, and
ending at Spooner, in the field across from the Highway Patrol building. The
riders and their mounts stay at Yellow River Game Farm on the second night of
the ride. Members of our family participate in the ride, and we all enjoy hosting
the travelers. Of course, the culmination of this event is the Spooner Rodeo,
including the rodeo parade. For more information on the ride contact bustintrail@yahoo.com.

Ice Age Trail walks. The Ice Age Trail, which marks where the glaciers stopped
their movement south during the Ice Age, is traveled by groups of hikers periodically
during the spring, summer and fall. Yellow River Game Farm/Piddle Creek Kennels
has been honored to provide a camping place for hikers in the past and hopes
to continue to do so for future groups of Trail enthusiasts. Visit
